Minimal Mac home screen

I love Patrick Rhone’s experiment to remove everything from his home screen and only move it over if he accesses it within a week. What I find amazing about his home screen, and those listed on First & 20 is how few people have the iPod icon on their dock. I use my iPod functionality daily. It looks like there are a lot of people who don’t use the iPod functionality enough to keep it in the default location. I wonder how this fact will affect Apple iPhone development in the future.

I plan on repurposing my double tap home button to bring up search and see if that works better for me. Though I have to say I am a visual person and most of the apps I have purchased have beautiful icons. Plus, I have muscle memory programmed where to tap for my most used apps. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
