We found the broken mold and put those pieces back together.
Classic!
¶I want to create from a place where I know the difference between monitoring (fretting about, obsessing over) an audience and simply being aware of an audience.
A wonderful, short read. Worth your time.
¶A great post by Brett Kelly. It reinforces Jack Cheng’s article about Habit Fields. If you haven’t read Habit Fields go read it now, I’ll wait.
Brett’s post resonates with me, there are a million things I can do on my computer; follow rabbit trail links, edit photos, work on CSS, read my RSS feeds, etc. There are only two I can do with pen and paper, write or draw. It is the law of constraints at it’s best. Give it a try and see what it does for you.
¶The first in a series of short interviews with people who design cool things. As usual Tim Van Damme has done an incredible job designing a website. It looks and works great as great on the iPhone as it does in Safari. I am looking forward to the next episode of The Box.
PS – Some one needs to interview designers who do interviews to find out how they do interviews in order to share with the rest of the web how good online interviews are done. My invoked list is: Shawn Blanc, Tim Van Damme, Ian Hines, and Brett Kelly.
¶Productivity Guaranteed is an excellent short article by Adam Spooner. I suggest you read it quickly and get back to focusing on what matters to you. (via Shawn Blanc)
¶Inkling isn’t about books on a screen. It’s about redefining how you work with your learning content and improving how you learn.
This is incredible. I took it for a spin and I was blown away. I didn’t get a chance to try the social networking feature but I’m sure that will be the killer feature that will cause the learning cement itself. (via Minimal Mac)
¶Lookwork, the creation of Ben Pieratt, takes something complicated and mundane, curating images and makes it fun.
¶From the people who brought us Uncrate:
Using a scientifically technologically artificially intelligently awesomely robotically humanly system (we hand-pick every video on the site), Devour sifts out the best videos and posts the well-curated collection every weekday. Fewer cute kittens, fewer skateboarding nutshots, fewer tween heart throbs, and lots more awesome.
My favorite; Chasing Landscapes.
